Christmas, Beach and the Magic Kingdom

* This is an extremely long post!*

We just got back from 9 wonderful and relaxing days on the Atlantic coast of Florida. We started off by spending a few days and Christmas in Ponte Vedra with the McMahan side of the family. We had a great time and it was definitely a new experience waking up at the beach Christmas morning. Mary Drew loved every minute of being at Papa's and playing with everyone.

More dolls = a happy little girl!

Testing out her new princess umbrella....

Beach dancing!

After Christmas dinner we headed a little farther south to my Dad's condo. We spent a few days there hanging out by the pool! Not too shabby for the end of December!

Pasty white....

Since we were so close to Disney we decided to drive down and do the Magic Kingdom. We had a hotel room and full intentions of staying for two days but Disney is exhausting!!! We spent a FULL day there....10:00 to 10:00 to be exact. We rode rides, watched parades, met princesses and had dinner in Cinderella's Castle! Mary Drew was in Heaven.... She loved it all! It was a great way to do Disney for the first time and learn the ins and outs. The temp was perfect for Griffin, 68 degrees.... I could have had it a bit warmer but it was fine. Griffin and I discussed how gross it would be to wait in lines with hundreds of people in the dead heat of the summer. So I will take brisk with sunshine and blue skies any day.

First up was meeting Sleeping Beauty ( her favorite), Belle and Cinderella. The princesses and all the characters are so good with the children. I don't know how they stay so happy all the time!

A little shy with Cinderella!

Next up, making our way down Main Street. We stopped for a parade...

Then we headed into Adventureland to see Tinkerbelle.

And rode the Magic Carpets.

We made our way to Fantasyland to ride Dumbo and my favorite It's a Small World!

Waiting in line is for the birds!

On Daddy's shoulders for a good view of the show.

Telling Tiana she likes her Christmas tree.

And the the icing on the cake and the end to our day at Disney was dinner in the Castle with the Princesses! Mary Drew kept telling everyone she was going to dinner in the Castle like she was royalty! This is a must if you have a princess fanatic like we do. Otherwise you can't go into the castle and that just wouldn't do for our little Princess!

Griffin is clearly excited about dinner!

A little shell shocked at first....

I loved that Bell was in her peasant dress!

Showing Sleeping Beauty her new doll!

Being silly with Ariel.....

Singing Bippity, Boppity, Boo with everyone! After dinner we rode a few more rides and called it a day.

And if you are even still reading this I am sorry it is SO long. Just had to document everything for my own records. Since we have been home Mary Drew carries a map of the Magic Kingdom around and wants me to "map" our route and tell her everywhere we went.

It was truly a great experience and we can't wait to go back!! And as they say in Disney " I hope you all have a Magical Day!"
