Weekend at Serenbe

A few weekends ago we went with Griffin's family to Serenbe to celebrate his cousins wedding. Serenbe is a small community south of Atlanta that has been written up in Southern Living several times. It is an organic sustainable community complete with an Inn, restaurants, farms (both animals and produce) and houses. Griffin's cousin Paige and her husband are the head farmers. We had a fun weekend celebrating with Judy's side of the family. Below are a montage of pictures from the weekend...
After dinner there was a bonfire....
Mary Drew was in Heaven. And I wish I had more pictures but we went on a farm tour Saturday morning and she got to pick or I guess I should say pull carrots, beets, lettuces, radishes and kale from the garden. I don't know too many 5 year olds who would be interested in farming much less eating these vegetables. But she loved it! We brought home purple, white and orange carrots that she ate in her lunch the next week! They also had animals you could pet... bunnies, goats, sheep, donkeys.... and horses for riding. Her Uncle Drew was able to get her on a horse.... So mad I wasn't there to take any pictures!
Fun times with the Witherington clan!!!!!
