All Dogs go to Heaven :)

We said goodbye to Paisy yesterday. It was sad and really hard but it was the right thing to do. I have had Paisy since the end of my freshman year of college. So if you are counting about 14 years... SO crazy! She has been with me through so many life changes... she lived with us in college except for the year I lived in Massey. She was there when we got married and brought Mary Drew home from the hospital. She moved with us from Memphis to Chattanooga and then to Birmingham. She was a good little dog and she lived a good life! She was spunky up until about a year ago... barked A LOT up until recently and loved to snuggle up close to you. Putting a dog down is awful- I don't wish it on anyone. Griffin and I have little holes in our hearts and miss her dearly. It's crazy how much I complained about her in the last few years but I am so sad she isn't around anymore. She was a good little companion. I sent a text to my closest friends yesterday that had the pleasure of living with Paisy and here are a few of their comments that made me smile. SO very thankful for these true friendships! This post wouldn't be complete without a little montage of our beloved Paisy... aka Peeps, and affectionately called "litte gee" by Mary Drew. I guess when she was starting to talk she could't say Paisy so she said Gee and it stuck :) Rest in peace sweet girl!(ps. THANK YOU to all my friends and family who reached out to us.... losing a dog is hard especially when they have been a part of your family for so long. )One more side note for those reading the text from my sister... an old boyfriend gave me Paisy. So Griffin always liked to joke he was her stepdad!
