While we were at the beach last week Big Pop came and stayed in Birmingham. I had bought one lonely carving pumpkin and that was it.... If you know me well you know that is not really my style but I just hadn't gotten into festive Fall decorating this year. Sharing a "front porch" with our apartment neighbors will do that to you. So what does this have to do with Big Pop? Well, he went and got Mary Drew a huge pumpkin and left it on our front porch. He told her he had watered the small one and that it grew while she was at the beach! So cute and she loved it! I had to add my own personal touch to it and now we are ready for Fall. The only thing I am debating is do we carve the giant pumpkin or leave it alone so it can be out through November???

( yes she is wearing white sandals.... It was 85 degrees yesterday!)
On a side note I really love decorating with pumpkins, gourds, etc and there are so many options these days. While walking last week I saw my favorite pumpkin/mum combo.... Probably 15 pumpkins in shades of white and pale peach and all different shapes and sizes with white mums. They were arranged cascading down the stairs of the front porch. Next time I walk by I will take a picture because it is one to put in the file!
